Suckler open day planned for April on Roscommon farm

The Newford suckler farm in Roscommon is a joint partnership between Teagasc, Dawn Meats and McDonalds

Attendees will hear from experts on how tech, heat detection aids, compact calving and improved handling facilities can streamline daily tasks.

A suckler cow breeding open day is planned for April 22, and will take place at the Newford suckler Farm in Skrine, Co Roscommon.

The event will focus on breeding and will provide farmers with information on how to improve herd performance and reduce labour through smarter tools and management practices.
