A 52-acre farm in South Tipperary is new to the market and available in four possible lots, allowing a wide range of potential suitors to get involved.

The holding is in Ballinure, 12km from Cashel and 15km from Thurles, in a very productive part of the Golden Vale, where a thriving dairying sector exists cheek-to-jowl with a very important livestock sector and beef cattle industry.

The four lots are:

  • Lot 1 (16.8 acres);
  • Lot 2 (18 acres);
  • Lot 3 (9 acres);
  • Lot 4 (8.7 acres).

“It’s great limestone-based land,” says the selling agent, Cashel-based Nicholas Maher. “The fields are all fenced with water supply laid on, with great access and it can be farmed all year round. It’s an exciting piece of land to get the sale of… it’s nice land, easily managed and with good returns from it.”

The agent adds there is a good level of interest in the farm, with a number of viewings to date.

“There’s a varied amount of interest,” Mr Maher says. “There’s interest from dairy farmers, equestrian interests, people thinking of building a house on it”

The guide price is €900,000 (€17,000/acre).
