68ac farm on the edge of the Burren under offer
The holding is 26km north of Ennis, 10km from Gort and 10km from Kinvara.
Located on the edge of the Burren in northeast Clare and close to the border with Galway, a 68-acre farm is new to the market with Kinvara-based auctioneers DNG Brian MacMahon.
Located in the townland of Kilcorkan, the holding is 26km north of Ennis, 10km from Gort and 10km from Kinvara. The M18 motorway lies about 5km to the east of the farm.
“The lands are made up of approximately 46 acres of good-quality lands, and around 22 acres of rocky limestone,” says selling agent Mr MacMahon.
The public road runs alongside the property, which has extensive slatted sheds.
“It’s a property that would suit a number of farming sectors,” adds Mr MacMahon, who says this area is typically known for grazing. “Interest is strong on it and we have had offers.”
Top of the list of interested sectors these days is always the dairying sector, although there is a more mixed farming community in this area. In any case, interest in this holding is strong, as witnessed by the fact that although the quoted price guide is €395,000 (€5,800/acre), the highest offer at the time of writing is €460,000 (€6,700/acre).
