Dónal O’Donovan has been announced as a new member of Dairygold’s board of directors.

Mr O’Donovan is a dairy farmer from Dunmanway, Co Cork, and was elected on December 3 to fill the Mid-Cork vacancy.

He is replacing the outgoing board director Michael Murphy, who will retire from the Dairygold board and the elected representative structure on December 31, 2025.

Mr O’Donovan will assume his role in January next year. He will be representing the Shounlaragh/Togher Electoral Group, was elected to the Mid-Cork Regional Committee in 2016 and has been a Member of the General Committee since 2020.

Mr O’Donovan is married to Catriona and they have three adult children, Aoife, Niamh and Dearbhla.

He has completed the Dairygold Member Upskilling Programme and is a former chairperson of West Cork County Executive of the Irish Farmers Association and a member of the Dunmanway Agricultural Show Society.
