Department starts payments for 2025 multi-species and red clover silage measures

Farmers who have applied and are eligible under the multi-species sward and red clover silage measures will begin to receive payments for their 2025 crop.

The payment rate for farmers within the multi-species sward or red clover measures is €300/ha for a maximum of 20 hectares per measure.

Payments have begun under the 2025 Multi-Species Sward and Red Clover Silage Measures.

Regarding the payment roll-out, minister Heydon said: “I am delighted that payments exceeding €2.1 million will be issued to over 1,200 farmers for these measures in the coming days.
