€2m expected for 106-acre tillage farm in North Kerry

The property is 2.5km from Ardfert, 9.5km from Tralee and 4km from the coast.

A 106-acre tillage farm in North Kerry is new to the market with Tralee-based auctioneers DNG WH Giles.

The property is in an area of high demand and offers an accessible large holding of rare quality that will interest those either extending their holdings or starting out in farming.

“It’s all in really good shape,” says selling agent Daniel Giles of the property, which is 2.5km from Ardfert, 9.5km from Tralee and 4km from the coast and its long sandy beaches, including Banna Strand.

“It was rented out for the last couple of years and it was used for growing corn and rapeseed amongst other crops. It was never used for grazing.”

Such use is a testament to the quality of the lands in this farm, which has two access points and a mains water supply.

“In that particular area, there are a lot of active farmers,” added Mr Giles. “It’s still very new to the market but we would expect there to be a good deal of interest in the farm over the coming weeks... It’s a good opportunity of the kind that doesn’t come up too often.”

The price guide of €2m (€18,900/acre) reflects the multiple qualities on offer with this holding — a rare large gem of a farm that will catch the eye of a number of suitors.
