Victory for UCC students whose agricultural knowledge was put to the ultimate test 

The quiz consisted of four rounds covering a broad range of agricultural knowledge topics including science, policy and current affairs.

At the presentation to the winners of the Grassland Agro AgKnowledge University Quiz at Moorepark, Co Cork were Ainhoa Valldecabres, Teagasc senior research officer; Deirdre Hennessey, lecturer in sustainable agriculture (grassland) at UCC; winning team members Dara Heffernan, Barry Stratford, Paul O'Brien and Matt Walsh; and James Freeman, sales and marketing coordination manager, Grassland Agro.

A group of University College Cork (UCC) students was victorious at the recent Grassland Agro AgKnowledge University Quiz. 

The university defeated Atlantic Technological University (ATU) in Co Donegal in the final of the quiz that pits some of the best agricultural science students from across Ireland against each other in an inter-college competition.
