New sheep scheme to offer €8/ewe for welfare actions

A new €15m National Sheep Welfare Scheme will allow flock keepers to claim up to €8/ewe for completing two actions designed to improve the ovine welfare.
The scheme consists of four possible measures, which are both applicable to upland and lowland flocks, and grouped into two categories as follows:
