€12k an acre sought for West Cork holding in idyllic setting

Located just 2km from the lively market town of Skibbereen, West Cork, a 16.5-acre farm available in separate lots is new to the market with Clonakilty-based auctioneer Henry O’Leary.

The property is in the townland of Coolnagarrane and consists of quality grassland in two neat divisions separated by the public road, thus making the property very conducive to subdivision into lots. Lot 1 consists of 10 acres and Lot 2 has 6.5 acres.

“It’s so close to Skibbereen that it’s convenient and accessible,” says selling agent Henry O’Leary.

These days, additional acres are always in demand, particularly from the dairying sector and the good road frontage coming with this particular parcel should make the property a target for some of the many progressive dairy farms in the area.

The farm has a wider appeal too, as Henry points out: “It’s suitable for local farmers looking to expand,” he says. “But it would also be suitable for equestrian enthusiasts in search of an idyllic setting for stables and grazing… or even town dwellers with a yearning for the tranquillity and charm of a country life.”

The price guide is €200,000 (€12,000/acre).
