An 83-acre farm near Hacketstown in Co Carlow was one of the latest holdings sold at an online auction by Gorey-based Quinn Property on October 11.

The farm is in the townland of Knocknagilly. With a guide price of between €6,000 and €8,000 per acre, it was a tempting property for anyone needing additional acres and, with a derelict house and a bungalow included, it may have been a good option for those from the non-farming community too.
