Speed at which Government responds to ash dieback report 'will be critical to rebuilding trust'

The speed at which the Government responds on foot of the ash dieback report published this week "will be critical to rebuilding trust and confidence" in forestry, the Irish Farmers' Association has said.

The report of the independent review group into the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine’s response to ash dieback disease made a number of recommendations, and IFA farm forestry chairman Jason Fleming said that there must be "speedy implementation".
