Dave Clarke Livestock are submitting a tender for 300 pedigree registered (three generations) heifers to be exported to Russia, according to the Irish Holstein Friesian Association.

Heifers will be a minimum of 60 days pregnant when they leave the Irish farm and maximum 150 days pregnant.

The dams of the heifers must have minimum first lactation of 6500kg or second 7500kg, or subsequent lactation 8500kg of milk. Heifers must be minimum 87.5% Holstein.

The Russian health cert contains full health requirements. Herds must be TB, Johnes and Brucellosis clear for three years.

David Clarke Livestock will collect the heifers from the farms and quarantine put them.
