Nowadays modern Irish farmers are opening up to the idea of entering into a farm partnership with a neighbour, friend or family member with the intention of making profit.

While maintaining ownership of one’s land at all times farmers may benefit from having extra land to farm and access to more labour. It could give him/her greater flexibility as to working hours.
