Safety inspection of 500 farms has commenced

Inspectors from the Health and Safety Authority yesterday kicked off a farm inspection campaign scheduled to take them to almost 500 farms.

The aim of the month-long intensive period of inspections is to reduce the number of accidents resulting in injury and death on farms.

There will be a particular focus on safe handling of livestock.
