Unprecedented response to Whitechurch timber appeal
Some 20 members of Whitechurch Macra loaded, cut, split, bagged, and delivered an unprecedented 266 bags of timber to homes across the community.
Members issued a special thank you to all who helped make the day possible.
Meanwhile, Glanmire Macra members volunteered to help out in the decorating of the children’s ward in CUH last week, with balloons supplied by Red Balloon.
After a few tiring hours of hand-inflation of the balloons, members arrived and lit up the hallways with Olaf the Snowman, as well as Santa Claus and many other surprises.
The club’s charitable acts, however, did not stop there. Last Sunday, Glanmire’s annual woodcutting event took place, with freshly cut fire wood distributed to the elderly and people in need in the area.
