Snail farming: your chance to get in on the ground floor

Snail farming as an industry or occupation was virtually non-existent in Ireland up to recently.

For that reason, the skill and knowledge normally accumulated through incremental innovation has not been available in Ireland.

The National Organic Training Skillnet (NOTS) has organised a two-day conference aimed at those who want to learn about snail farming.

Learn why this industry might suit you, and hear the experiences of national and international snail farmers.

The conference is on Monday and Tuesday, November 14 and 15 in the Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore, Co Offaly. Fees are €100 for a two-day pass without accommodation; €150 for a two-day pass with one night’s accommodation and an evening meal (limited availability).
