ICOS chief executive, TJ Flanagan, said: “Board members of co-operatives are dedicated people who have a very significant contribution to make in the corporate direction of their business. This requires knowledge and awareness of best practice corporate governance principles.”

The opening discussion on compliance will feature industry panelists John McStay, of McStay Luby; Ian Drennan, director of Corporate Enforcement; James Doyle, ICOS legal and governance executive; Michael Parsons, Kilkenny Co-op Livestock Mart.
