Cattle prices remained steady at the beef factories this week, despite a strong supply, and further weakening of sterling.

Farmer fears that the decline in the value of sterling to over 90p to the Euro could reduce prices for cattle eased on Monday, when the ‘no change’ trading situation became known.

Improved weather over the past week has eased the pressure on finishers to sell stock, but nonetheless it is the season of the year when the movement of cattle to the factories peaks.
