West Cork exhibitors did well at last weekend’s 190th Iverk Show in Piltown, Co Kilkenny, monopolising the two All-Ireland Angus Bull Calf Championships.

The competition for calves born late in 2015 was won by John Appelbe from Clonakilty.

Show organisers say their Angus Bull Calf Championships are one of the largest sponsorships (by Aldi and ABP) in any cattle class in Ireland and probably in Europe.
