Organisers are reporting that exhibitors from many parts of the world will take part in the September 20 to 22 rural showpiece on a centrally located site.

National Ploughing Association managing director Anna May McHugh said it is great to see the phenomenal interest in the championships.

There will be exhibits from Australia, France, Britain, Netherlands, New Zealand, the Czech Republic, Germany, Canada and Belgium.

“With 281,000 visitors attending last year and over 1,500 stands, the ploughing championships is one of the market-leading agriculture trade fairs worldwide,” she said.

For the first time ever, over 90% of stand space for the annual event, hailed as Europe’s largest outdoor agricultural exhibition, was booked before the end of May.

“We are delighted that so many have already committed to the ploughing championships because that is a real seal of approval for the event.

“It is the primary aim of the NPA to make the event better every year for visitors and exhibitors alike and early bookings give us much more design time,” she said.
