A few weeks ago, I pointed out here how Irish small to medium enterprises, including farm businesses, have been paying premium interest rates, when it comes to borrowing.
For the PIGS (Portugal, Italy, Greece and Spain), the average lending rates have declined steadily from over 6% in 2012 to about 4% in 2016, for lending facilities of less than €250,000.
