Advice from Teagasc: Calving cow No 1 in livestock danger

With livestock-related accidents accounting for 22% of farm fatalities in 2015, and livestock associated with 33% of total farm accidents, farmers must realise that they need to look after themselves when dealing with livestock.

Cow attacks around calving time have increased in recent years, and now surpass bull attacks as the number one livestock-related cause of deaths.
