Teagasc will continue to explore arrangements with external parties to deliver schemes, says the organisation’s Director of Knowledge Transfer, Professor Tom Kelly, ahead of an expected busy 2016 for advisory and education programmes.

He said the FRS Network, under the supervision of Teagasc, played an important role in ensuring that over 11,000 clients gained access to GLAS, and this work will continue to ensure the maximum number of clients gain entry to the second tranche of GLAS.

Professor Kelly confirmed the Government has given Teagasc the go-ahead to replace retired advisers and to fill a number of priority posts across the organisation.
