Journalist and author Denise Hall has passed away peacefully and unexpectedly in her home in Glengarriff, Co Cork. She was 69 years old.

Denise is survived by her daughter Amber Hall, son-in-law Bryn Jones, grand-daughter Asha Hall-Jones and grandson Milo Hall-Jones.

An Irish Examiner columnist for the past 30 years, she has written with great passion and integrity on environmental issues, animal welfare and human rights. She has interviewed hundreds of charities, action groups, support networks and people working for their local communities.
