€9,000 per acre guide price for grazing land in Co Clare
The asking price is a seemingly modest €300,000 (or €9,000/acre), but farm land in this part of Munster doesn’t command the kind of prices that Golden Vale properties routinely do.
However, the rising tide of a bullish Irish dairying industry may yet have a final say in matters, and this property does have a lot of good quality land, coupled with the potential to improve.
“It’s currently for sale by private treaty,” says selling agent Niall Gilligan, “but the owners are considering going by public auction in July.”
In terms of quality, Niall describes it as “very good quality grazing, in the main,” despite the presence of a few acres of wetter ground.
There are no entitlements with the property, which enjoys good roadside access and a mains water supply.
