New DLF company launched in Ireland

Global grass and clover seed producer DLF Trifolium has teamed up with Waterford firm Seedtech to launch a new Irish business, DLF Seeds.

The new wholesale business will deliver a leading portfolio of seed varieties and mixtures. It also has a pipeline of new varieties and mixtures due for launch in the coming years.

Paul Flanagan of DLF Seeds said: “With markets in China and US opening up to our beef, the abolition of dairy quotas and the government’s commitment to increasing dairy output by 50%, new technology that can deliver higher grass and forage yields will become increasingly important.
