European sales continue to soar

The rapid rise in organic food sales across mainland Europe continues unabated. 

Indeed a speech made in February by EU Agriculture Commissioner Phil Hogan emphasised the global and European success story that is organic food.

“It is estimated that organic is the fastest growing sector of the food industry, with global revenues increasing from $18 billion in 2000 to $72 billion in 2013 – a fourfold increase in just over a decade.”
