Teagasc and the National Co-Op Farm Relief Services Ltd have signed a contract to supply GLAS planning and support services to Teagasc clients.

Their work will involve the preparation of agri-environmental plans in compliance with the GLAS agri-environmental scheme.

GLAS is to be a five-year scheme with a maximum payment of €5,000 annually for up to 50,000 farmers, with some 30,000 likely to be accepted in the first year.
