ICSA demands action on land parcel system

The Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers Association has said it is outraged that 2,261 appeal cases under the 2013 Land Parcel Information System review are still not processed. Suckler committee chairman Dermot Kelleher said farmers who appealed 2013 penalties are those who have suffered significant penalties.

“They have been cut on their 2013 single payment, and are also losing money in the 2014 single payment. It simply isn’t acceptable that this has been allowed drag on for so long,” he said.

Mr Kelleher said there is a strong feeling among many farmers on marginal land they are getting a raw deal.
