Farmland near suburban areas sells for €15,000-€20,000 an acre

Farmland close to suburban areas is selling for €15,000 to €20,000 an acre, says Dublin-based auctioneer Ricky Wilson.

Head of Wilsons Auctions at Kingswood Cross, Mr Wilson says most buyers are still cash buyers, using funds they had set aside for investment.

Wilsons’ half-year report states that the company has sold more than 700 acres of Irish land and properties this year so far.
