Written submissions to be sought shortly for new forestry programme
Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney provided the update to Dominic Hannigan TD, in a written reply to a Dáil question.
Mr Hannigan had asked when the programme will be submitted for public consultation and when will it be open for applications.
Minister Coveney said the document will be submitted for public consultation shortly. It will issue alongside the environmental report as part of the Strategic Environmental Assessment exercise. Written submissions will be sought as part of this process. The programme is expected to be launched in January 2015, he said.
