Record offer for land

The helter skelter rise in land prices from last year has abated somewhat, with only prime land in prime areas commanding a premium.

For the most part, however, the per-acre guide level has not crested above a super-ceiling of €14,000 per acre.

Sales above this level are very rare indeed. Which is why a current offer on land on sale in the mid-western side of Cork City — far away from the uber-expensive tillage lands of East and South Cork — has created a stir.
