SuperValu expects to sell €14m worth of Superquinn sausages

SuperValu has announced it expects to sell €14 million worth of Superquinn sausages in 2014.

The retail group said sales have doubled since it introduced the Superquinn sausage to SuperValu stores last October. All pork raw materials are 100% Irish.

Thirty tonnes of sausages are sold each week. This is expected to rise to 35 tonnes a week as a result of four new lines being introduced.
