Food group delighted with triple certification by Carbon Trust
The first company in Ireland to receive this triple honour, ABP joins UK-based Marks & Spencer, PwC, Whitbread, and AkzoNobel UK as the only other companies to have received all three awards.
Carbon Trust is an authority on monitoring the efforts of companies and governments to reduce their environmental impact.
ABP group sustainability and environmental manager, John Durkan, said: “I am delighted that our efforts have been certified by a globally recognised body like the Carbon Trust.
“ABP is at the forefront of Irish businesses demonstrating that sustainability and success can go hand in hand.”
ABP aims to reduce water usage by 10% by 2020; and to achieve zero landfill waste by 2015.
