Cork-based vegan food company launches range in UK retail chains
Founded by Deirdre Collins, the Cork-based food company’s products are 100% vegan. They are also gluten, dairy, egg, soy, wheat, GMO-free and free from all artificial additives.
Waitrose will stock the organic omega burger and the traditional vegan sausage, while Booths will stock the organic spicy bean burger, organic omega burger, roast garlic and mushroom vegan sausages and the leek and onion vegan sausages.
The range is available at Waitrose and Booths stores with a recommended retail price of £3.49 (€4.19).
Ms Collins said: “I believe that when you eat better, you feel better and that is why I created Dee’s Wholefoods. I wanted consumers to be able to find foods that were not full of additives; I wanted to create clean, delicious food.
“We make all our products using real food ingredients, wholegrains and seeds that are sourced fresh, making for a superior quality product, the sausages also contain Irish dulse seaweed which gives a wonderful umami boost.
“Our new range of vegan sausages is innovative and a game changer for vegans, as there is nothing out there on the market like them.”
Dee’s Wholefoods has also entered its Traditional Vegan Sausages with Irish Dulse Seaweed into the Grocer new product awards.
