If so, register your idea before Friday, February 28, for a chance to win the European GNSS Agency’s (GSA) €13,000 Farming by Satellite Prize.

Entries must include case studies of trials or new ideas and innovations, with a particular interest in those that rely on the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS) and the forthcoming Galileo system.

The competition is open to anyone under the age of 32, participating as individuals or as a team, but they must register next week, and April 14, 2014, is the deadline for submitting entries and supporting references. Registration and entry are via www.farmingbysatellite.eu.

“We are looking for imagi-native solutions that employ free satellite technology that can help all the world’s farm-ers,” says Gian-Gherardo Calini, GSA head of market development.
