Waterford grazing farm will go to highest bidder

It’s second time around for this 73-acre grazing farm located at Ballinavouga, near Leamybrien, Co Waterford. Having been put up for auction in autumn of last year, it is now all set for sale once more, through joint agents, Dominic Daly and Ronan King, as certain issues in the process of sale have been clarified.
It is to be put up for auction on Wednesday, March 5, at the Park Hotel, Dungarvan at 3pm. And from this point on, the property is for sale, says Dominic Daly, with full vacant possession. The property is in good condition overall, but needs upgrading and draining in parts, says the agent, although after the last few weeks any grazing land is going to take a hammering.
It’s in one block, with laneway access only and off the main Dungarvan/Waterford road.
This farm, which has an old farm house, stone outhouses and old fashioned haybarn with lean-to, is really a non-residential sale and will suit neighbouring drystock or tillage farmers.
Also, as the farm is close to the coast — it’s between Dungarvan and Waterford, it might be suitable for tillage in parts.
The guide price prior to auction is in the region of €8,000 per acre upward — or “whatever we get on the day”, according to Dominic Daly.
