Tidy small holding will draw wide appeal

A very neat and tidy small-holding near Mallow should attract a broad range of customers this week.
Tidy small holding will draw wide appeal

It’s a new market entrant with auctioneer Christy Buckley and its size and location (four miles from Mallow on the Killavullen Road) could bring out the horsy/good life buyer.

Then again, with demand for farmland the way it is a the moment, it could be swallowed up by larger players keen to add its clean green fields to their range.

The residential property is a well-managed 36-acre farm at Ballingar, Mallow, a drystock farm in one main block of grassland around the house and including about three acres of forestry across the road, plus some rougher ground.

The sale includes two residences, one an immaculate modern bungalow, with large parking area, four bedrooms, two reception rooms and a kitchen and bathroom.

The second is an older traditional farmhouse located in the farm yard, along with a lofted outhouse, a three-column silage shed, with lean-tos and a milking parlour.

The guide price for the private treaty sale is in the region of €10,000 per acre with €175,000 quoted for the house and gardens.
