Local bid takes prize at winter auction

It may be November, but the pull of the auction room remains strong with another positive result in the Macroom area last week.

Killian Lynch of Killian Lynch Auctioneer offered a 60-plus acre farm at Ballyverane, Mac-room, Co Cork, at auction in two lots and the entire.

And the executor’s sale carried an overall guide of €600,000 prior to auction, but realised €630,000 in total and was sold for that amount. The purchaser is a local farmer and other bidders included solicitors acting in trust.
