Dr Pearse Lyons adds RDS gold medal to his haul of awards

Dr Pearse Lyons has joined Sir Anthony O’Reilly, Dr Peter Sutherland, Dr Denis Brosnan, Sir Michael Smurfit, Dr Craig Barrett, Dr Martin Naughton and Willie Walsh as the holder of an RDS gold medal for industry and commerce.

A native of Dundalk, Co Louth, and president and founder of Alltech, Dr Lyons has developed the company from a small enterprise, in Kentucky, to a global mega-brand employing 3,000 and conducting business in 128 countries, with annual sales of $1bn.
