Vet conference to focus on modern treatments for several species
The international congress takes place at Dublin’s Convention Centre from Oct 3 to 5, and is organised jointly by Veterinary Ireland and the Northern Ireland branch of the British Small Animal Veterinary Association.
The event will feature 114 scientific and continuous professional development sessions over the three days, focusing on up-to-date treatments and practices ranging from orthopaedics and epilepsy to dentistry and ophthalmology — entirely focused on companion animals, or pets.
Several sessions will highlight new surgical procedures, new drug therapies and new treatments which can keep pets alive for longer with a good quality of life in areas ranging from keyhole surgery techniques to oncology. Other sessions will focus on particular types of animals, such as cats, dogs, rabbits or exotic pets.
