95% think Ireland is a great place to live

Not only are farmers extremely optimistic about the agricultural sector, they are in near universal agreement that Ireland is “a great country in which to live”.

The Irish Examiner/ICMSA survey found 95% either agree or strongly agree with this, while 3% disagree. The commitment to Ireland was most strongly felt among dairy farmers, with 98% agreeing or strongly agreeing.

They were followed by tillage farmers (94%), livestock/cattle farmers (93%), and other farmers (92%).
