State veterinary services promoted at Sheep event
Services are available from the central veterinary research laboratory at Backweston and six regional veterinary laboratories in Athlone, Backweston, Cork, Kilkenny, Limerick and Sligo.
They offer a laboratory diagnostic, investigative and consultancy service to the livestock industry through veterinary practitioners, and provide technical and logistical support to the State veterinary service for its regulatory role in animal disease.
