Austrians take over Clonmel agri firm

It has been Pöttinger’s Irish business partner since 1987.

The specialist manufacturer of agricultural machinery took over almost a third of the importer in 1997, and the Traynors have now decided to sell the rest of the business to Pöttinger.

“We can look back on a long period of good work together with Traynors. Now we want to be even more successful with direct sales in Ireland, especially with spares and replacement parts, where we are a competent partner for agricultural machinery dealerships,” said Klaus Pöttinger, Technical Managing Director. Some management tasks will be assumed by the headquarters in Austria.

David Osborne remains the contact for dealers in Northern Ireland and the northern area of the Republic of Ireland while a new contact person in sales is still to be named for the southern counties.
