Silver Springs to host Cork Federation Day competitions
The entry fee is €3 per item. Contestants may enter more than one item in each category. Baking has 10 categories, craft three, photography (black and white or colour) three, painting two, and first-time entrants five.
The theme of the guild competition is ‘A Supper for my ICA Friends’. It must include a tablecloth, napkin, flower arrangement, savoury tart, dessert, and tea or coffee. At least five members must be involved. Entry fee is €10.
Federation finals for national competitions will be held from 2.30 to 4.30pm. The competitions are make and model, Baumann Shield for music, Eleanora Gibbon Shield, Patsy Lawlor Half Set Shield and Patsy Lawlor Full Set Trophy. Guilds can combine for the competitions.
