Full auction house drives price to €380,000

THERE was a full house for last week’s auction of a 40-acre farm at Monagurra, Shanagarry, Co Cork, with auctioneer Miah McGrath is charge of proceedings.

The McCarthy and McGrath agent had given a guide price of “in excess of €8,500 per acre” for the land.

The farm was sold in its entirety for €380,000 — the equivalent of €9,500 per acre.
