The lands at Cooga total 23.7 hectares, or 57.3 acres, and are located midway between Ruan village and Corofin, within commuting distance of Ennis.

Under grass and with plenty of road frontage, the lands can be purchased in the entire, or in two lots. Lot one is 5.189 hectares or 12.8 acres, and lot two is 17.987 hectares or 44.44 acres.

The property has extensive road frontage, and it is good quality limestone land, says David Costelloe: “This is a fantastic opportunity to acquire an outside farm, for an established farming operation or indeed a property for a young farmer to start from.”

The land has 25 acres of top quality upland, he adds, the majority of which is suitable for meadowing of hay or silage and the remainder, which is potentially good quality limestone ground, would benefit from reclamation.

The guide price for the entire lot is €300,000.

The auction takes place on Friday, November 18, at 3pm in the Old Ground Hotel, Ennis, Co Clare.
