Farm on 24 acres with shore-front

IT’S the setting as much as — or more than — the acreage on offer that appeals at a 24-acre holding at Gortnadrohid, Skibbereen.

Farm on 24 acres with shore-front

This land and farmhouse are on the inner stretches of Baltimore harbour, in a scenic west Cork setting with private shore-front access.

Estate agent Charles P McCarthy prices the property, including the traditional, stone-built, three-bed house, at € 600,000, saying it includes a lofted barn and a stone outbuilding.

“Due to its location and extensive, private shore-front access, a most spectacular and unique property could be created by restoring and extending the present dwelling,” says McCarthy.

There’s private lane access to the two-down, three-up house and then on to the shore, plus the land in one block, of mixed quality, but with some very good quality pasture. There’s views from most parts of the property, located four miles by road from Baltimore, but a shorter distance by boat.
