Farming ‘as Gaeilge’

ONCE the new clover crop got going, replacing the artificial nitrogen, everything fell into place for farmer Noel Ó Loingsigh in Baile Bhúirne in Co Cork.

The story of how he decided to go organic is told in Feirmeoirí, a new TV series on TG4 starting next Sunday night at 9.30pm.

It follows the fortunes of four farmers, including Padraig Ó Scanaill, a liquid milk producer on the outskirts of Dublin.
