44 acres in Coolmore sale
That’s according to Derry Walsh of Sherry FizGerald, who’s selling the bungalow residence and 44 acres close to the heritage village.
A hobby farm/equestrian centre buy, it is guide priced at €650,000, and includes a brand new yard and a man-made one acre lake.
* FARM SALE: A farm in one of the most beautiful places in the country is about to go for auction, following an unsuccessful private treaty sale. The 37-acre farm at the Gap of Dunloe, Beaufort, Co Kerry, which was launched on the market earlier this year, goes for auction, next Wednesday.
Buyers can also take up the option of purchasing a three-bed bungalow on the site, says Tom Crowley of Tom Spillane and Co, who’s handling the auction.
He says the sale has already generated a lot of interest, and the auction will bring financial focus to the property, in a market where buyers are loathe to commit. Some of the best land in the Kingdom, according to Crowley, will be offered for auction in three lots.
The joint private treaty sale with auctioneer Billy O’Shea was guide priced at €18,000 per acre – the equivalent of €660,000 for the entire property.
* TWO BIDDERS: There were two strong bidders for a 42-acre holding on the outskirts of Macroom, launched on the market in June, and now sold.
The land at Raleigh was reduced to sell, having been guide priced at €400,000. It made €420,000, says Tom Heffernan of Sherry FitzGerald Hinchion, Macroom.
Situated close to the town boundary, the level pasture land may have been purchased as a hobby farm.
